Help them find their way home. When Lost Mode is on, Galaxy SmartTag2's NFC (Near Field Communication) will display your registered contact and a message on the finder's smartphone, regardless of operating system.⁵

1_IoT devices must be registered in the SmartThings app for proper operation. SmartTag2 must be connected to the user's mobile device. To check which devices are compatible with the SmartThings app, visit the SmartThings website.

2_Battery life, based on test results conducted by Samsung internal laboratories assuming typical usage patterns, is a simulated value of total battery consumption measured by analyzing normal usage patterns and the current required for each function versus the time used for each function. Tested based on results from a pre-release version of the device using the CR2032 battery included in the package. Actual battery life may vary depending on usage patterns, device model, or battery manufacturer.

3_When in power saving mode, some of the features, such as nearby search, IoT control and others, may become inaccessible except for the basic search function which uses Bluetooth.

4_Galaxy SmartTag2 is rated IP67. The rating is based on laboratory test conditions involving immersion in fresh water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. Not recommended for use on the beach or in a swimming pool. Do not wash with soap and water. The water and dust resistance of the device is not permanent and may decrease over time.

5_The contact information and text of the alert must be previously registered on the SmartThings app in order to appear on the device of the person who finds the object with your tag in Lost Mode. The device of the person who finds the object you are looking for must support NFC reading and must be connected to the internet in order to display the contact information previously registered when the tag was activated.

6_Galaxy SmartTag2 requires Samsung account login and SmartThings Find app registration. Compass View requires a Galaxy smartphone that supports Ultra Wide Band (UWB) and runs Android 11 or higher. Compass View availability may vary depending on OS version, connected device, or country.

7_Accuracy may be lower if there is an obstacle between the user and the tag, for example if the tag is in a drawer behind a wall, or in a car.
